Proof is here! Today’s papers were full of news that the number of Britons describing themselves as bisexual has soared by 45 per cent in the last three years.
In 2012, 230,000 people said they were bisexual, but that rose to 334,000 in 2015.
The numbers are from the Office for National Statistics and that sounds pretty official to us. More young adults aged 16 to 24 now describe themselves as ‘bi’ than exclusively gay or lesbian.
That’s exactly why we started Straight But Curious. So-called flexi-sexuality is becoming the norm. Even olympian Tom Daley doesn’t identify as gay or straight but said that he just ‘happened to be attracted to a guy.’
Whether we do identify as gay, straight or bi it’s unlikely we’ll feel exactly the same way our whole lives. Sometimes there is a need to explore and be sexually adventurous. If you’re thinking about it now, you won’t stop thinking about it until you’ve tried it.
Here’s one of the articles about the news here.
